BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich., (May 11, 2021) - Bos Concrete will break ground at their new location on May 13, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at 2877 Sodus Parkway in Sodus, MI. The company is eagerly anticipating the benefits the second location will bring to their business.

“The biggest benefit for the new plant location is its proximity to I-94 and US-31,” said Mark Bos, Bos Concrete Co-Owner. “We can easily get to our customers, and our raw material suppliers can easily get to us.”

The new plant will be state-of-the-art, capable of producing 200 yards of concrete an hour. “Being able to produce 2,000 yards of concrete a day will go a long way in serving our big-job customers,” said Mark Bos. The $1 million investment will provide a dozen jobs at the site.

“We’re looking forward to using local contractors to help prepare the site for the new plant,” said Mike Bos, Bos Concrete Co-Owner. “They have supported our business for a long time, and we’re happy to support theirs.” The plant will be built in Minnesota and delivered to the site. Operations are expected to begin in July.

The expansion is a success for economic development in Berrien County. The total estimated investment is projected to be $1 Million. Cathy Tilley, Cornerstone Alliance's Business Development Manager, said "We are thrilled that Bos Concrete has expanded and remained in Berrien County. We have all seen the rising costs for construction materials across the country. The Bos expansion will allow Berrien County businesses to access concrete from a local vendor, at a lower cost."

Mark and Mike Bos have operated Bos Concrete in Coloma since 2000. The two brothers are proud to be the only locally- and family-owned concrete supplier in the area.

Bos Concrete’s services include ready-mix concrete delivery, concrete pumping, concrete paving, and commercial and industrial construction services.
