BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (June 18, 2024) – Cornerstone Alliance, the leading economic development organization in Berrien County, is pleased to announce an interim leadership plan to ensure continuity and sustained momentum as the Board of Directors works to review and refine a long-term plan for the organization.
To cover the responsibilities of Rob Cleveland, who has recently stepped down as CEO and President, the Board has appointed John Janick and Christina Frank to take on key leadership roles during this transition period.
John Janick will serve as Interim CEO, bringing his extensive experience in strategic planning and external affairs to the role. He will oversee general strategic planning and manage external relations, including community relations. His leadership will be crucial in maintaining and strengthening the organization’s ties with the community and external stakeholders.
Chris Frank, CEcD, has been appointed Interim President and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations. Her duties will include staffing, project management, investor relations, and interactions with community leaders. With her proven track record in economic development and community engagement, Chris is well-positioned to ensure the organization continues to deliver on its ongoing projects and commitments.
This strategic approach will enable Cornerstone Alliance to maintain its current momentum and continue progressing on existing initiatives. The team remains dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission while the Board of Directors conducts a thorough search for a permanent CEO and President.
