Ken Whah Ken Whah

Ken Whah was promoted to President & Chief Executive Officer in December 2018 after serving as Hanson Logistics’ Chief Operating Officer where he joined the company in 2017. In his role as COO at Hanson, Ken spearheaded a rigorous continuous improvement program across the company’s operations, including Hanson’s flagship Velocities Multi-Vendor Consolidation program. As President & CEO, Ken is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company to deliver shareholder value working with the board of directors and the senior leadership team. Ken establishes and deploys long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies while driving the organization to deliver on the annual budget, business commitments, and strategic initiatives. Ken is passionate about serving the Hanson family, all Hanson teammates, and the community they live in by advancing a culture where every teammate is appreciated and has the opportunity to add value every day.

Hanson Logistics is currently the 10th largest refrigerated warehouse network in the country, with 9 facilities in Michigan and Indiana and a total capacity of 39,000,000 cu. ft. of deep frozen, refrigerated and dry warehousing space.

Prior to joining Hanson Logistics, Ken was Director of North American Logistics Operations at Whirlpool Corporation, overseeing more than 1,000 logistics associates and a network of 23 factory and regional distribution centers. Ken spent a total of 23 years at Whirlpool advancing through many areas of the business including engineering, marketing, innovation, sales, logistics, and general management.

Ken completed his undergraduate degree at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business as well as a Masters in Engineering from Purdue University.

Ken is married to Danielle and they have 6 kids together. They enjoy boating, family vacations, and they attend a ton of soccer games (3 of the kids play soccer). They are members of Lakeshore Christian Church where Ken serves as an elder and Danielle serves as the ministry director for missions. They have volunteered on 4 mission trips for Casas por Cristo in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala building houses – 3 of which some of the children went with them. Ken also serves on the board of directors for The First Tee of Benton Harbor. They are big Michigan fans – Go Blue!
