NILES, Mich. (May 16, 2024) – Cornerstone Alliance, the lead economic development organization serving Berrien County, announced the approval of an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption (IFE) for C&S Machine by Bertrand Charter Township. This exemption will facilitate the restoration and expansion of C&S Machine’s existing facility located at 1760 Mayflower Rd., Niles, MI 49120.

The IFE approval comes as C&S Machine embarks on a significant investment, totaling $3,650,000. This investment includes the restoration and renovation of its 10,000-square-foot facility, along with the acquisition of new equipment. This expansion project aims to bolster production capacity and accommodate the growing demands for C&S Machine’s ultra-precision components.

“We are thrilled to support C&S Machine in their endeavor to enhance operations and contribute to the economic growth of our community,” said Zach Vaughn, Director of Business Growth for Cornerstone Alliance. “This approval reflects our commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and encouraging local investment.”

C&S Machine, founded in 1966 in Buchanan, Michigan, has a rich history of manufacturing ultra-precision components for various industries, particularly in aerospace.
