Cornerstone Alliance Names New Business Development Manager

(September 2, 2015-Benton Harbor, MI) Cornerstone Alliance, Berrien County’s premiere economic development organization has named Shelley Klug as their Business Development Manager, effective September 15, 2015. Klug brings over 14 years of economic development experience including her most recent role as Business Development Manager for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation where she worked with businesses throughout Western Michigan serving as a liaison between businesses, communities, local partner, and multiple state agencies to connect with valuable services and resources.

In her role, Klug will manage the work of the Cornerstone Alliance Business Development Team, implementing business development strategies to increase the economic viability of Berrien County including business attraction initiatives; facilitate enterprise development; and work with existing businesses connecting them with the resources needed for growth. 

“Shelley’s credentials were a natural fit for what we were seeking in a business development manager,” said John Janick, Cornerstone Alliance’s Board Chairman. “She offers the expertise and has the important connections with our businesses from her years at Southwest Michigan Economic Growth Alliance and Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).”
